Publication

I had a few requests regarding how the book(s) will be published so I thought that a post clarifying that would be in order. The road we’re following is the one of self-publication. It’s really difficult to let a book out with conventional means, let alone an illustrated book like this one, because the genre is really popular only in Japan. I thought it was impossible to see my work in print until I found out about a self-publication system (disclaimer: I do not work nor I am affiliated in any way with lulu.com).

Basically I’ll submit the work, including cover and all the required files, to lulu.com and they’ll make it available on their web page, like a normal online bookstore. Once someone buys it, the book is printed and delivered (print on demand). If I feel inclined doing so, I may have the option to send it also to a major wholesale book distributor (Ingram), which it means it would be available in conventional bookstores (if they request it).

As I stated in many replies to comments on Too’s deviation posting, the expected completion of the first novel is slated for the end of the year. Notice that even after publication, the book will stay downloadable (the PDF version will retain its Creative Commons license).
