The S.T.E.A.L. Saga is a series of illustrated novels that belong to the horror genre. The main concept behind the stories is that behind our “normal” world, another world exists. No one knows when it appeared or who created it, it is only known as “The Darkness”. The powers that come from the Darkness have generated several beings, often called Ancients, that follow their own schemes, often getting in contact with humanity for petty or selfish reasons. The results are often tragic for humans, who have no power to whitstand those creatures.
However, there is an organization that fights against them, employing a mix of magic and severe training. This organization is called S.T.E.A.L. The saga will center on a group of people from S.T.E.A.L, people who share a common goal but have different ideas, and sometimes even different forms…
The main influences for this saga come from H.P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard, as well as some modern horror novelists. There is also a slight Japanese animation flavor, best shown in the art of the illustrator, Too. The stories focus on several common topics of the horror genre, revisited in our personal view. Although the narration includes transformations of certain characters, it’s not entirely based on them. Suggested rating is PG-13 due to blood, gore, and some risque descriptions.
